What brand makes the best stand mixer?

I was wanting a stand mixer and I want to know if the kitchen aid mixer is the best or what and if it is which one? There is suppose to be a classic and artisan or something? I want the best for my money with no worries.

KItchenAid is the best stand mixer around.
I've been looking at buying a KitchenAid and trying to decide upon which one.

I think it comes down to bowl size (capacity), motor size and included accessories..

These are tilt-head mixers: Classic, Artisan and Accolade.
Classis has 250 Watt motor and includes a Flat Beater, 'C' Dough Hook, 4-1/2 Qt. Brushed Stainless Steel Bowl and a Wire Whip

Artisan has a 325 Watt motor and a includes Flat Beater, 'C' Dough Hook, Two-Piece Pouring Shield w/Wide Chute, 5 Qt. Stainless Steel Bowl w/Handle and a Wire Whip

So the Artisan has a bigger motor, a bigger bowl and a pouring chute. The price of the Artisan is much higher too. $350 vs. $240 for the Classic.

However, looking at the website, there's an Accolade model.
That has a 400 Watt motor and inclues Flat Beater, Wire Whip and a 5 Qt. Polished S/S Bowl w/Handle

The Accolade is $330 has a bigger motor than the Artisan, the same size bowl, but does not come with the C dough hook or the pouring chute. The dough hook is $15 extra from the website.

Hmmm... The Accolade looks like a good deal. Bigger motor and comparable bowl size. Add the dough hook and you're at $345. These prices are based upon the KitchenAid website. You can probably find better deals shopping around.

Better yet... I've you're a member of Costco.
Costco has a bowl-lift KitchenAid with a 475 Watt motor, 5 qt bowl includes, flat beater, dough hook and wire whip for $300.

So if I had the cash now, I'd probably go to Costco.
