Which New Acoustic Guitar Should I Buy?

I've been looking at buying a new high end acoustic for a while now. As of now the Gibson Songwriter (deluxe modern cutaway) is on top. I hear nothing but good things about Taylors though. Any well thought out and explained suggestions are appreciated.
I guess I should note that I've been playing guitar for about 5 years, and currently own a Fender American Strat. The acoustic I play now is a piece of crap and intend to pay a decent amount for a quality instrument.

Don't buy a guitar for less than 100 bucks. Don't settle. I know that you want one, but wait until you have the money to get the one that you want. I once got too excited and bought a cheaper guitar and it was a piece of crap. I'd go to guitar websites. Read the customer reviews. They usually tell all in those reviews. I have a black Johnson.
