hi i have a Fender Mexican Stratocaster... and i bought a pick guard on Musicians Friend and it didn't fit my?

stratocaster so i went to guitar center and measured it with the Genuine Pickguard and it was exactly the same.. so i want to know if anyone has a solution for me... should i buy and try the Genuine one or what should i do???? it looks like mine and the one in guitar center are exactly the same so what should i do????? just if you wanna know... i want the black pickguard for the Mexican Stratocaster

The first problem is Made in Mexico. If the pick guard At guitar center is exactly the same, then buy it and put it on. The important thing is you have something on there to protect your finish, and paint job. It won't devalue the guitar in any way. (Maybe add value cause it has something made in USA on it! maybe). Anyway, you can accept my answer for what it's worth, or ignore it, but think of your nice shiny finish first.
